You know the feeling a proud parent gets when their kid comes home with straight A’s? We’re feeling kind of like that right now. In case you haven’t heard, the all-new Dodge Durango just won MotorWeek’s 2011 Drivers’ Choice Award for Best Large Utility. Our President and CEO Ralph Gilles was on hand to accept the prestigious award at the 2011 Chicago Auto Show.

Naturally, we are truly honored but not surprised. With its world-class handling and intelligent, powerful and fuel-efficient engines such as the new 3.6-Liter Pentastar V6 and the legendary 5.7-Liter HEMI® V8, the Durango offers drivers the excitement you would expect from a performance car, together with the refinement of a luxury vehicle and flexibility of a three-row SUV. The Durango has the whole package from impressive handling to the best-in-class towing. We like to call it a driver’s SUV.

It goes without saying that we’re equally as excited for the new 2011 Durango R/T & Citadel models announced at the Chicago auto show. The Durango R/T will offer customers hot-rod looks and handling with a 20 mm lower ride height and unique suspension tuning with performance 20-inch tires as standard equipment. For buyers looking for the ultimate in luxury, the Citadel will come loaded with features such as heated and ventilated Nappa leather seats, chrome-finished 20-inch wheels and unique chrome grille and more.

The 2011 Durango represents where we’re going with the Dodge brand, and we couldn’t be prouder.
